I’m Bonnie, the owner, soaper, and creative mind behind Sweet Bea's. My background as a wedding planner and venue owner might seem far from handmade soaps, but during the pandemic, I tapped into a whole new world of creativity through soap-making. My journey began simply, playing around with bath bombs with a friend. Later, I decided to try my hand at cold process soap making, and I became completely addicted after making my first batch. My skin felt incredibly soft and silky! I dove into the science, purchasing and reading tons of books and attending specialized courses to expand my knowledge of methods, textures, scents, and ingredients.
As I gained confidence in my product, I started sharing my creations with friends and family, and the rave reviews were immediate! This love affair blossomed into Sweet Bea's, a company named after my late grandmother, Beatrice. She was the sweetest woman who taught me the value of a wholesome work ethic—a principle I pour into every bar I make.
Soap-making is truly my happy place. I love the creative process of working with different color palettes, natural oils, and butters. All of our handmade soaps are made from scratch in small batches using the cold process method. Our formulas use the highest quality, responsibly sourced ingredients for gentle cleansing and conditioning. Every single bar is cut, planed, beveled, individually labeled, and packaged by me with love.
